Stunts (1977)

Little Known Cult Classic

When I was a little kid growing up just outside of Washington DC in Mount Vernon, VA we had a drive in movie theater on Route 1 that my parents liked going to. I would get a blanket and climb on top of dad's van and sit criss cross apple sauce and watch whatever movies were playing. I saw this movie during a double feature when I was probably way too young to watch most of the movies they took me to.

This was a time when Evel Knievel was the man. The Fall Guy show may have come out shortly after. Us Gen X kids did stuff on our bikes all wanting to be a stunt man. This movie had a profound affect on me at that young age. Only one problem it came out just before VCR's and VHS and Betamax tapes and for 45 years I have never met another single person who saw or remembered this movie. Not one.

I had actually written it off as a possible Mandela Effect. Until yesterday. My friend Dan found it in the Library of Congress Audiovisual Visual Archives at Mount Pony for me. So to everyone that never believed me including myself that this movie actually exists. Here it is. Stunts.
