Bootleg interview with scifi guru the late Philip K. Dick. Taken from an audio cassette copy digitized by a friend that is retired from the Library of Congress Audiovisual Archives at Mount Pony and now collects rare audio, film, and video as a hobby. Dick speaks about his favorite books, the meaning behind his writing, the meaning of humanity and love, the nature of reality, etc. Presented here for archival/research purposes.
Interesting to note that Dick claims to have experienced out of body Astral Projection Shamanic episodes and many of his Sci-fi novels and short stories were written from some of these shamanic journeys to different dimensions and throughout time that he called the divine fire. For instance his story do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, that was the basis of the Blade Runner movie, Dick’s main purpose for the story written in the 50’s was to warn future generations that artificial intelligence does not have a soul and thus incapable of communicating with the divine and susceptible to evil forces of man. All of their experiences as artificial entities eventually disappear like tears in rain with no afterlife.

Book Recommendation. I suggest starting with book one of the Valis trilogy but in my opinion this is the best of the three.
